Your Faith And Trust Are Natural, So Please Don’t Feed The Fears
‘Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.’ – Mother Teresa
You are demonstrating enormous faith and trust every day, no matter how timid or fearful you seem. You exhibit faith every time you go to sleep. During sleep, you have faith and trust that your heart will keep beating and you will continue breathing. If that were not the case you would be too afraid to sleep, right? So please don’t feed the fears.
‘Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.’ – Rabindranath Tagore
Every parent has tremendous faith and trust that their tiny
newborn baby will eventually sleep through the night. They have Faith and Trust that in time, this helpless being will eventually learn to walk, talk and become a sovereign individual. If not, the fear of endless care-taking and sleepless nights would cause a dramatic decrease in new births.
‘ Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.’ – Saint Augustine
Most of us have faith and trust in an invisible power called electricity, otherwise, we would not flip a switch and expect a light, or a TV to come on. There’s a certain amount of faith and trust in another invisible power, and that is through a search engine, we can get answers to all our questions, on the Internet. Those with mobile or smartphones have faith and trust that with a little know-how a connection can be made with a voice or voices from many miles away. This invisible transmission allows us to almost instantly communicate with a loved one and possibly see them if both have iPhone’s with ‘Facetime’.
Fear Focus Just doesn’t make the Slightest Sense
‘Let me encourage you to get up every day and focus on what you do have in life. Be thankful for the blessings of the little things, even when you don’t get what you expect.’ – Victoria Osteen
Fear is simply negative focus, like seeing only the dark shadows in a black and white photograph. We must recognize and focus on the lighter shades in order to get the whole picture. Otherwise, it’s like looking at a negative and seeing life backwards.
‘Skating taught me to set a goal and to block out other things and just focus on this one thing.’ – Katarina Witt
Most know that we always get what we focus on. There’s tons of proof of this in everyday life. We trust that what we focus on through a camera lens will produce the image that was focused on. (The better the focus, the clearer the result.) Likewise, we know that when we drive somewhere, we’re to focus on the road ahead as well as hold our destination or intention in mind. Therefore, it’s perfectly natural to focus on what we want and have faith that we will arrive at the desired outcome.
‘Faith is a state of openness or trust.’ – Alan Watts
When you breathe you have faith and trust that another breath will automatically follow. Electricity and the Internet are invisible, yet their results are visible. In the same way, there’s a Power that animates everything and everyone on this planet. That Power is in you. It can be felt with every breath you take. You don’t even have to have faith or trust in it. Because it already breathes for you and through you. It’s within you and It’s what animates you. This faithful Power repairs your injuries, digests your food, runs your brain and all your organs. It even takes out the trash by eliminating waste and toxins with very little assistance from you. You simply have to cooperate with the feelings you get and go with Its flow.
‘To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don’t grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead, you relax, and float.’ – Alan Watts
That Power, tirelessly works on your behalf twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for as long as you live. It is the same Power that manages the galaxy and the entire universe. You don’t have to have faith in that Power because it has all proved to you that It takes care of even the smallest detail of your life. All you need to do is let go, and know enough to go with the Power flow.
‘Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the see the whole staircase. Martin Luther King, Jr.
