Am I sick, or am I having Ascension Symptoms? (Also known as ‘energetic upgrades.’) What Are Ascension Symptoms?
‘Man learns through experience, and the spiritual path is full of different kinds of experiences. He will encounter many difficulties and obstacles, and they are the very experiences he needs to encourage and complete the cleansing process.’ – Sai Baba
With regards to Ascension Symptoms, I have found that if I am feeling ‘out of sorts’, but not ill, then I am probably experiencing Ascension Symptoms. Or energetic upgrades.
‘The key to success is to keep growing in all areas of life – mental, emotional, spiritual, as well as physical.‘ – Julius Erving
While there are some common Ascension Symptoms, there is no one
series of adjustments to fit all. Each body and mind will respond individually to the upgrades. Following are some of the most notable Ascension Symptoms that I have encountered. Please note that they did not all happen at once. Nor did they occur in order or one after the other. Furthermore, apart from the actual ascension symptom, overall I felt perfectly healthy.
‘We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.’ – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
Headaches: For a while I had sharp pains in my head, (like on the right or left side), at times it would pass or a mild to severe headache would follow. (When I notice the discomfort I affirm: “I acknowledge the pain and now it can go”). These headaches might center around my third eye area, or way back at the base of my head, near my neck. It was as if work was being done within various parts of my head. On one occasion when I refused to rest, the headache got my attention by morphing into a migraine. At that point I had no option but to take medication and lie down until it passed.
Noisy Ears: One ear or the other would ‘ring, sometimes like a high pitched, electronic sound, or I have also had a low continuous hum. Mostly in my right ear.
Dizziness: of all the symptoms, apart from a severe headache or two, the dizziness was the most
disruptive. I was literally, physically unbalanced for almost two weeks. During the height of the dizziness, I could do nothing but rest and take it easy. I found out that if you resist resting, then it takes longer for the Ascension Symptoms to pass. I kept affirming: “This is only temporary and this too shall pass.”
Acute Acid indigestion lasted almost two weeks. Even after drinking Soy milk, which usually helps immediately, the acidity persisted. It seemed centered up in my stomach near where my ribs come together. I thought I would never put that fire out. It did not seem to matter what I ate. The acidity was there waiting beneath the surface. After a week it was all gone and everything was back to normal. What a relief!
‘A rebirth out of spiritual adversity causes us to become new creatures.’ – James E. Faust
I find it helps to be aware of what’s going on within my body. If I feel the need to take it easy, I do my best to do that. Admittedly, though, for the most part, I normally do not allow it to disrupt my life too much. I simply acknowledge whatever it is that I am experiencing and then I keep on trucking.
‘Let’s be cautious about relying so much on material things that we have no energy left for the spiritual aspects of our lives. ‘ – James A. Forbes
I do my best to ride out the Ascension Symptoms without medication. But that’s just me. It’s in my nature to handle aches and pains in my body as naturally as possible. It could be because that’s how I grew up. Admittedly there have been times when I have had to succumb. During those occasions, I have been truly grateful for headache medication, or deep tissue heating cream or acid relief tablets.
‘I think a spiritual journey is not so much a journey of discovery. It’s a journey of recovery. It’s a journey of uncovering your own inner nature. It’s already there.’ – Billy Corgan
What I’ve learned from Ascension Symptoms. What works best for me is to relax and go with the flow. If I remain open like an energy conduit, I get through the experience with no muss no fuss. But if I resist what’s happening, my system blocks the flow, and the resulting tension seems to make the experience more intense. It is quicker, in the long run, to listen to what feels best. Take a break or time out. I found that if I keep my nose to the grindstone the Ascension Symptoms seem to intensify and last longer. There’s no point fighting what is.
‘The world is starving for a new spiritual truth – a truth that works in sustaining life, not a truth that brings an end to life.’ – Neale Donald Walsch
Forget your ‘to do’ list and listen to your desires. Perhaps you feel like a walk in nature. I like to work in my garden, barefoot. (One of the perks of living in Florida). Or I take an hour out to go to the beach. Another Florida perk. It helps to restore and refresh you. For me, I was able to come back and take care of what needed to be done.
‘As an individual, I think you have to find your own path. I like the simplicity and purity of Hinduism and many elements of Buddhism. These are all means of accessing spiritual energy.’ – Dave Davies
My purpose it to share from my experience from my point of view. My intention is to throw some ‘Light and Awareness’ out there. If by sharing my experiences I help answer some questions or solve the mystery of what’s going on with you, then we all win.
‘The spiritual path – is simply the journey of living our lives. Everyone is on a spiritual path; most people just don’t know it. ‘ – Marianne Williamson
